Did you know?

One drop of blood contains about  5 million red cells, 10,000 white cells. and 200,000 platelets.

At any time you have about 80 million red blood cells in your body; each day you make 15 million new ones, and 15 million old ones die and are excreted from the body through the lymphatic system. These cells carry oxygen into your body, and take carbon dioxide out via the lungs.

About 75% of white cells are made in the bone marrow – most of these engulf and destroy bacteria. The other 25%  (about 5 million) are produced in the lymphatic system and they produce antibodies to kill infections and to digest dead matter (free radicals). These cells are like soldiers and dustbin men.

Platelets are tiny fragments of cells and they only live for about 2 weeks; they are made in the bone marrow and their purpose is to clot the blood following an injury – they form a plug.

The theory of laser light was first proposed by Albert Einstein in about 1905, however it was 1960 before the first working laser was fired. Low Intensity Laser Therapy was first used by Dr Andre Mester of Budapest; and he discovered it to have therapeutic effects.

Conventional medical treatments have become the third leading cause of death in the USA after heart disease and cancer. Disillusioned Americans are now spending more than $60 billion annually on alternatives.

Dental distress syndrome affects over 75%of the population; the position of your jaw affects your entire nervous system. Improper positioning of the jaw causes 68 pairs of facial muscles to work overtime, causing stress and pressure on the whole body.

Blood travels around your body in blood vessels – arteries, veins and capillaries.

Your body has about 60,000 miles of blood vessels.

Lymph is a clear plasma like fluid containing nutrients, oxygen and many white cells; it fills your tissues around your blood cells.

You have about 600 bean shaped lymph nodes around your body, mainly in groups. The most noticeable ones are in the neck – they are the “glands” that swell up when you have a sore throat – the glands swell because are “eating” lots of harmful bacteria!
