LILT

Low Intensity Laser Treatment (LILT)

Low intensity laser therapy is a special kind of laser light that enters the body to provide pain relief and quick healing. It is often called
‘cold laser’ because no significant heat is
produced either on the skin's surface or
deeper inside the body.

It is a low-level light emission therapy that
penetrates into the body to a predetermined
depth to effect repair on damaged tissue,
skin conditions, joint conditions, bone
fractures, lesions, lacerations and chronic

pain. (Coupled with  ‘High Frequency Ultra-
Sound Scanning’ as a diagnostic tool, cold
laser is very much a product of the future).

Laser therapy improves the speed and quality
of tissue repair in skin, muscle, tendon,
ligament and bone. It aids the resolution of inflammation and often gives instant pain relief.

How does it work?  Low power laser therapy is non-thermal, it acts photo chemically triggering normal cell function. (Its effects are homeostatic).
